Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. It grew from a small start up with just a few employees focused on search to a massive global company with over 30,000 employees under the leadership of Eric Schmidt and then Larry Page returning as CEO. Under Page's renewed vision and risk-taking approach, Google developed many new products and services, made numerous acquisitions, and saw huge profit growth transforming it into the largest website and one of the most valuable companies in the world.
