I. OBJECTIVES
MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons,
exercises and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the
learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
A. Content Standards:
The learner acquires knowledge of appropriate reading strategies for a better understanding of academic text.
B. Performance Standards:
The learner produces a detailed abstract of information gathered from the various academic texts read.

Independent Learning
OBJECTIVES:
1. Define academic writing
2. Differentiate language in academic text from various discipline
3. Identify the purpose, language, audience and style of academic text
4. Write a specific academic text with correct usage of language
II. CONTENT
Content is what the lesson is all about. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach. In the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two.
Reading Academic Texts
III. LEARNING RESOURCES Lists the materials to be used in different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and manipulative
materials as well as paper-based materials. Hands-on learning promotes concept development.

These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which
you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their
learning processes, and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.

before the alloted time,

analyzed after the
checking.

To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides. A. Content Standards: The learner acquires knowledge of appropriate reading strategies for a better understanding of academic text. B. Performance Standards: The learner produces a detailed abstract of information gathered from the various academic texts read. C. Learning Competencies/Objectives: Write the LC Code for each HOLIDAY CONDUCT DIAGNOSTIC TEST Differentiates language used in academic texts from various disciplines (CS_EN11/12A-EAPP- Ia-c-2) Differentiates language used in academic texts from various disciplines (CS_EN11/12A-EAPP- Ia-c-2) Independent Learning OBJECTIVES: 1. Define academic writing 2. Differentiate language in academic text from various discipline 3. Identify the purpose, language, audience and style of academic text 4. Write a specific academic text with correct usage of language II. CONTENT Content is what the lesson is all about. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach. In the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two. Reading Academic Texts III. LEARNING RESOURCES Lists the materials to be used in different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and manipulative materials as well as paper-based materials. Reviewing Previous Lesson or Presenting the New Lesson The teacher will asked the student on the importance of writing and reading The teacher will asked the following questions: 1. The teacher will conduct the diagnostic test comprising the compentencies in quarter 1 2. The student will be given 1 hour to answer. 3. If students are done before the alloted time, their answers will be checked right after. 4. The scores of the students will be analyzed after the checking. The teacher will present the lesson objectives to the class and discuss what to expect at the end of the session. The students will be reminded of the previous topic and they will be given set of activities. Students will be given an independent learning activity which will serve as their performance task.

Four features of language with examples Note: Teacher will discuss comprehensively the topics with examples, thus further activities will not be given because students will also be given time to copy. The teacher will elicit some of the answer from the class in the previous activity. Students answers will be checked to evaluate if they really learned from the previous discussion.

Scene 2 Teacher Jessica is planning to have a culminating activity for her sections in English subject, but she needs to ask first permission to her school head. Scene 3 The adviser of Joseph asked them to write an essay about the pandemic that they are experiencing. G. Finding Practical Applications of Concepts and Skills in Daily Living Directions: Write a five-sentence paragraph explaining the guidelines in academic writing.
