Dear Friends, We need your help in fulfilling our mission to serve, assist, and advocate for our nation’s Veterans and their dependents – ensuring the benefits earned through their time in-service are accessible, adequate, and available. The Student Veterans Advocacy Group (SVAG) supports the rights of our Veterans nationwide, by safeguarding the education benefits owed to them, which results in a positive impact on our local, state, and national communities-at-large. In order to continue these efforts we must remain steadfast in our principles of doing the right thing. Although some were drafted and others volunteered; to serve our Nation in times of war and peace, such sacrifices cannot be sold short by allowing the benefits earned and sacrificed for, to be any less than were intended when granted through such time in service. The transition from the "battlefield-to-home" is extremely difficult, especially today, which is why we’re asking for your help. Here are a few ideas- • Visit the website at www.mysvag.org to stay up-to-date on our efforts and sign the E-Petition showing your support. • Like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/SVANC and follow their daily activity on Twitter at: www.twitter.com/Student_Vets • Draft a letter or E-mail to your state and federal representatives asking them to support our Veteran related efforts and endorse Veteran related legislation. • Make a tax-deductible donation on our website at mysvag.org or through the donate/fundraiser link on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SVANC or mail your donation to us at the address shown above. The time to act is now as our nation’s Veterans are being subjected to adverse changes in law detrimentally impacting their lives’. Thanks so much for your support.
