Brad Deutsch Memorial Golf Tournament Partners with North Central Chapter PVA
The third annual Brad Deutsch Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Friday, June 15
LUVERNE, Minn. – May 30, 2012: The Brad Deutsch Memorial Fund has partnered with the North Central
Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) for the third annual Brad Deutsch Memorial Golf
Tournament, scheduled for Friday, June 15 at the Adrian Country Club in Adrian, Minn. Space is still
available for the four-person, best-ball tournament, which kicks off with a shotgun start at noon.
Cost of the event is $200 per team or $50 per person with proceeds benefiting the Brad Deutsch Memorial
Fund and the North Central Chapter PVA. Tournament fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, post-tournament
meal, prizes and a donation.
To register, contact the Adrian Country Club at (507) 483-2722. Charitable donations and prize
contributions are also welcome.
The Brad Deutsch Memorial Fund was founded in 2010 by the friends and family of Brad Deutsch – a
veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom with the Minnesota National Guard and a member of the Luverne Fire
Department who passed away on Jan. 20, 2010 following a car accident. The fund that bears his name
was established to continue Brad’s legacy of helping others including the Brad Deutsch Memorial
Scholarship – a perpetual award associated with the Luverne Dollars for Scholars program.
With Brad’s military background and the event’s aim at raising funds for local causes, the North Central
Chapter PVA was an ideal organization to partner with for this year’s tournament.
The North Central Chapter PVA serves the states of South Dakota, North Dakota, Southwest Minnesota, and
portions of Montana and Wyoming. Most of PVA’s members use wheelchairs for daily living which creates
special needs that the organization tries to address. North Central Chapter PVA works to maximize the
quality of life for its members and all people with spinal cord injuries or disorders (SCI/D) as a leading
advocate for health care, SCI/D research and education, veterans’ benefits and rights, sports programs,
disability rights including accessibility and the removal of architectural barriers. PVA is the only
Congressionally chartered veterans organization dedicated solely to serving the needs of SCI/D veterans.
