 MAJOR PROBLEMS:-
 Major problems around the world is food and water crises.
 These problems are increasing at a high rate continuously.
 Every year there is a massive flood in many different
countries and due this factor their agricultural areas are
getting destroyed.
 Unhygienic food and water is available in most regions of
the world.
 Poor insanitary conditions in poor countries.
 Dams and barrages are not constructed in most regions of the
world.
 Every year thousands of people lost their lives due to
lack of water and they don’t get the hygienic water to
drink because too much water is wasted by people
around the world.
 We don’t think of those people who are not getting a
single drop of water.
 If we talk about the people of Zimbabwe and African
countries, their life's are getting destroyed. No water and
food are provided to them. Its so much difficult to live in
a hot desert for them.
 SITUATIONOFTHAR DESERT
 Every year thousands of people lost their lives. Ministers
are looking for there own conformity, they are enjoying
and taking care of their owns life. They are not tensed
about that what is happening in deserts of many
countries of the world.
 From a report in every three months thousands of
childrens are in died due to scarcity of water and food.
 In 2016, millions of people lost their lives.

FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATION (FAO)
INTRODUCTION:
Food and Agriculture organization(FAO), specialized agency of the
United Nations, established in 1945. Its headquarters is in Rome, and
it has a number of regional and sub regional offices around the world.
OBJECTIVE OF FAO:
The objective of FAO is to lead international efforts to defeat hunger,
contributing to an expending world economy by promoting
sustainable rural development with emphasis on the poorest farmers,
promoting food production and self reliance, and rising nutrition
levels.
World Water Council (WWC)
INTRODUCTION:
The World Water Council(WWC) is an international multi-stakeholder
platform. It was established in 1996 on the initiative of renowned
water specialists and international organizations, in response to an
increasing concern about world water issues from the global
community.
OBJECTIVE OF WWC:
The World Water Council’s mission to promote awareness, build
political commitment and trigger action on critical water issues at all
levels, including the highest decision making level, to facilitate the
efficient conversation, protection, development, planning,
management, and use of water in all its dimensions on an
environmentally, sustainable basis for the benefit of all life on earth.
PRINCIPLES OF WWC
Following are the principles of World Water Council (WWC):
• WWC restricts itself to policy related issues addresses other issues
only if they are cross-cutting or controversial;
• It plays the role of facilitator for cross cutting programs and does not
work that could be done by its members;
• It cooperates with its members to identify the policy implications of
their work and helps them to develop and promote these
implications.

THE SITUATIONAROUNDWORLD
 On the other hand we talk about rivers so we have five
rivers and we having dispute over rivers between Pakistan
and India. India stops our water and blackmail us many
times. If India stops our water so what will we do?
Definitely there is a crises of water in our country. This is
the alarming situation for us.
• Secondly, We talk about food crises. Why there is a situation of
less food in our country?
• Because of less cultivation of crops and shorter lands.
• Also we are exporting much more food to different countries.
• If we are selling food in much more quantities to other
countries so definitely there will be shortage of food in our
country.
DO MORE CULTIVATION IN AGRICULTURAL
AREAS
• As a result, prices will be high in the market.
• For example: we are selling bulk quantity of food items abroad,
due to this we are going in crises.
• Hence, food items are sold at high rate in Pakistan.
• Both food and water is a gift of nature.
• In whole World, there is a huge amount of food is wasted on
different occasions like wedding or at restaurants.
• We saw in wedding ceremonies that there’s a lot of food wasted.
• Street beggars or poor people are not getting food and faced
different health problems.
MALNUTRITION
• Nutrition us perhaps the most important factor, which affects the
health of a person. The body needs a balanced amount of nutrients
and energy for its survival and is essential for good health. A balanced
diet is needed and it takes into account six different food components
which are proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, fibres and
water.
• Malnutrition does not only arise because of insufficient or too much
intake. This a serious case nowadays since the young part of
population is deeply involved with it and serious troubles are caused.
It may lead to psychological problems.
• The real problem is money. Food is available, but people can’t afford
it.
• Under nutrition is a problem faced today by many children in United
States. It is very important for children to get as many nutrients in
their body to be healthy.
• Hunger can effect a child from appropriately. It can lead to weight loss
which then can effect the body from fighting infectious diseases.
• Malnutrition from hunger can also cause cognitive difficulties.
Cognitive difficulties then effect brain growth which is very important
for a developing child.
• Obesity is another major factor effecting the children of America
today. Obese children suffer from many problems in the future.
• We saw most of the people who waste water while they are
having bath and having toothbrush. Usually, they forget to tap
off.
• From a report 3.9 billion people will live with severe water
shortage by 2030.
• According to Asian Development Bank (ADB), Pakistan is one of the
most water stressed country. only 1000 cubic meters of water are
available per person per year which is five times less than available at
the country’s inception by 1947. by 2020, water availability will
further reduce to less than five hundred cubic meters per capita year,
making Pakistan water scarce.
WATER DISEASES
• Malaria.
• Cholera.
• Hepatitis A.
• Dengue fever.
• Typhoid Fever.
• Shigellosis.
• Leptospirosis.
 Karachi gets its major supply of water from keenjhar lake and hub
dam located on hub river.
 Keenjhar lake supplies around 500 million gallons per day
 Hub dam has the capacity to provide less than 100 million gallons per
day, but it has reached the “dead level”.
 From a report Karachi is the sixth most water stressed city in the
world.
 There are 145 water hydrants in Karachi, from them 129 are illegal.
Pakistan's water mafia relies on these illegal hydrants and sells the
water at high rate. There is a major control of tanker mafia in Karachi.
 They steal water from us.in Clifton and defence there is a lot of
shortage of water.
 In these areas tanker mafias knows that here people are more richer so
they stop there water and then sell it to them at a high cost.
 A tanker minimum costs of Rs.5000.
 CONSTRUCTION OF BARRAGES AND
DAMS:-
• Chashma barrages.
• Kalabagh dam.
• Mirani dam.
• Gomalzam dam.
 SOLUTION:-
1. Governments should take strict action against tanker mafia.
2. Governments should take steps to avoid food and water
crises.
3. Build more dams and barrages.
4. It should be reasonable prices on food items.
5. Bills must be paid by citizens to get better facilities.
6. Stop corruption from lower to higher level.
7. Improve sewage systems.
8. Improve food aid.
9. Produce much higher yields.
10. Use good quality fertilizers.
DRINK PURE AND CLEANWATERTO LIVE A
HEALTHY LIFE
NO WATER AND FOOD CRISIS SO WE WILL LIVE
A HAPPY LIFE
 CONCLUSION:-
• Hence, the water and food crises is a bigger threat than aggression in
the whole world. Food and water is the basic need of life. These crises
effected the whole world and might results in death. So save water and
produce more food.
