A daily cycle of destruction. In this presentation, I will
address how the land in Haiti is literally washing away
from beneath our feet and offer simple strategies to solve
these issues.

trash from the slums above to
the streets below

collectors

13. And as the trash pile up, they
are set on fire

toxic smoke in the skies

15. That will create a second toxic
rain of infectious dust of
dioxins

16. Respiratory and infectious
disease are the main killers

volatile organic compounds and other products of
combustion
