This document discusses a local librarian's research project on house names in the towns of Ryde and Eastwood that memorialize battles, ships, people, and places related to World War 1 rehabilitation and training. The librarian successfully applied for funding and additional library funds to produce a booklet within a tight deadline for the Armistice centenary, highlighting 52 houses she had identified through years of research. More relevant houses have been discovered since completion of the project.
