Campaign against Pollution




Campaign to reduce Plastic waste   We discourage open garbage dumps


    VNC spearheaded a public agitation against a company
      which was polluting „Air‟. More than 3,500 families
    supported by signing a petition. The company installed
       proper Air filtration plants before restarting its
                          operations.
Campaign against Tree cutting




    VNC led a public agitation against
extensiveTree cutting and filed a Public
 Interest Litigation in High Court, More
    than 8,500 people supported by
          signing this petition.
   More than 500 trees were saved after 9 year long Battle.
GEM: Games for Environmental Manners




   Creating awareness and instilling good manners and
 etiquettes for Environment is very crucial in young minds.

Utilizing Games for instilling such values is very effective.
Green Run (marathon)&
           Burn Fat not Oil (cyclathon)




Running for conservation of Greenery has received great
 response from all segments of society and has become
        regular activity of VNC year after year.
Cycling is not only healthy but also Environment friendly
                option for transportation.
Greening Charotar
Green School program

 Launched in collaboration with Centre for
  Science and Environment, Delhi.
 Teams of students carried out their school‟s
  green audit for the following:
   Land, Water, Energy, Air and Waste.
 Top 3 schools were awarded and encouraged to
  participate in the national level competition.
 This program instills sensitivity for the
  conservation of resources and leads to
  sustainable development on a larger scale.

      Reduce, Reuse & Recycle
Enzyme Stabilized Mud Blocks
 With technical development by
  „Dhara Biotech‟ we are promoting
  Enzyme Stabilized Mud Blocks as an
  alternative to conventional bricks.
  Their features are:
     Low cost, use of local resources,
      easy to make.
     Low impact on environment.
     Will reduce carbon footprint
      involved in construction process.
     Will exploit invasive species for
      raw material.
     Will eliminate need for wood
      used to bake conventional
      bricks.
 Project is being researched and
  implemented with support from
  NABARD.

• Setting up a Butterfly Garden, where children and
  masses can learn and enjoy.
• Developing a Environment Education Centre in ravines
  of Mahi river.
• Conservation project Muggers(crocodiles) in Charotar.
• Conservation project of Gangetic Turtles present in
  Gomti pond, Dakor.
• Edifying Organic Kitchen Gardening as habit, even
  without open space and Compost making form kitchen
  waste.
• Bi-Cycle sharing project for Anand & Vidyanagar.
