WHAT ARE SHAPES
A shape is a geometrical figure tat can be described with
mathematics.
For example , two dimensional shapes like circle will fit
inside of a flat plane.
Three dimensional like cubes will not fit inside of a plane
, because they are not flat.
2-DIMENSIONAL SHAPES
 These are 2D shapes or flat
plane . There sides are made
of straight or curved lines.
 They have fixed number of
lines. Plane figures are called
polygons .
 Triangles , squares and
rectangles are example of 2D
shapes.
PROPERTIES OF 2D SHAPES
 Two-dimensional shapes are planer . In case of a coordinate
system of more than two dimensions , then a 2D shape would
still depend on two coordinate directions.
 2D shapes include the square , the triangle , the rectangle etc.
 To understand it more easily you can say that 2D shapes do not
have prominrnt or rugged parts . For example , speaking 2D
you would have a square , whereas 3D shape have a cube.

two-dimensional shapes : face , vertices , edges and
volume . These property not only allow you to determine
whether the shape is two-dimensional or three-
dimensional , but also which three-dimensional shape it is

A part of shape that is flat
or curved.
A cube has six faces.
