Legalist: Taking one's own life is against the law and religious teachings. The man should continue treatment and trust in God.
Antinomian: There are no absolute rules. Each person must decide what feels right in their situation based on their values.
Situationist: The most loving choice depends on fully understanding the situation and consequences. Both prolonging life and providing for family could be seen as loving acts. Deeper discussion is needed to determine what maximizes well-being for all.
Overall, there are good-faith arguments on both sides of this complex issue, and reasonable people can disagree.

Rawls proposed that the meaning of life is to achieve a fair and just society by following a social contract. He argued that people should determine principles of justice from an "original position" behind a "veil of ignorance", without knowing their gender, wealth, abilities etc. This would lead to choosing principles that give equal rights and status to all. Rawls described two principles of justice: the difference principle to distribute social and economic goods equally, and the principle of equal liberty to distribute civil liberties equally. Some moralists argue the meaning of life is to behave morally to preserve society and help others. Reasons for moral behavior include following religious commands, feeling rewarded, and achieving inner peace. The author prefers the moralist view

Please note that who falls under this umbrella is fluid and ever changing. And as social norms change, So does what is considered Queer.
