This document discusses rhinoviruses, which are enveloped viruses that cause upper respiratory tract infections through droplet or direct contact. Rhinoviruses have crown-like spikes on their helical, positive-sense RNA structure. While there is no specific treatment, supportive care and intravenous fluids if needed can aid recovery. A vaccine against rhinoviruses is available starting at 6 weeks of age.
