2. Problem
The problem our idea addresses is a lack of affordable and sustainable clothing and gear in the outdoor industry.
In addition, the ocean has trillions of tons of plastic floating in it.
3. Solution
In the future, our idea could turn ocean plastics into sustainable clothing. This not only depollutes the ocean, but
provides long lasting clothing and gear to consumers. These consumers aim to enjoy nature and leave it better
than they found it, having gear that makes it easier for them to accomplish that means there is one less thing to
worry about.
4. Market
The market is comprised of outdoor enthusiasts who are increasingly eco-concious, the only eco-concious gear
on the market currently is very expensive ($500+ per item) and is not realistically affordable for this group of
people. This market likely has a family to support and makes between $80,000 and $100,000 per year. Our
largest age range is 25-36 years old, and most purchasers are male.
