Vee Institute of Library Science (VILS) is an initiative by librarians to help libraries provide better services. VILS has developed a library software called Krishna.2000 with modules like acquisition, cataloging, and OPAC. It also offers consultancy on implementing e-governance in universities using software development, database development, and linking departments. VILS engages in designing software, arranging lectures and conferences, modular teaching, and outsourcing cataloging and classification work. It is headed by Mr. Jitendra Varma and offers MLIS and BLIS courses through modular distance learning.

Vee Institute of Library Science is an initiative by a Group of Librarians, to help

services, application of international standards for cataloging and classification.

Library.2.00 tools.
