The student summarizes a video shown in class by their professor that aimed to help those who don't experience racism understand what it's like. The professor gave examples and made white students feel the pain minorities face daily. Some white students' reactions showed they aren't used to feeling treated that way by society. While racism has decreased, some will never change because of what they learned growing up. The student believes the professor upsetting people and them leaving illustrated that minorities can't just walk away from racism like others can.

The video shows many good points of what people that experience racism go through
every day. The professor was showing good examples and she made the people that don’t go
through what minorities go through feel their pain. The reaction that some of the white people
showed was because they are not use to feeling that way or getting treated like that by the rest of
society. I feel like people do and say racist things without realizing it but there are people that do
it intentionally. We as a country has come far from racism but some people will never change
because it is or was installed into their head from whom they were raised by.
Minorities seem to be racist too because of all of the bad tension that comes from the
superior race or they was also born into thinking that because of what their older siblings went
through and go through. Overall I think the video was a great way to show what minorities go
through every day. The professor making people upset and leaving the class was like the whole
point of the video to me because it was showing that basically that if it was the other way around
then the tables would be turned and minorities can’t just walk away from this because they have
to constantly deal with it every single day.
