I think from this video we all learned what African Americans and other races went
through in the past and still continue to go through. No matter what the law is
they’re still always criticized for their differences. The video showed how they feel
when they’re treated badly and that Americans don’t even realize what they’re
doing. When the Americans were the ones being yelled at and punished for doing
little things they couldn’t handle it. They felt bad for themselves and thought they
could just walk away from the problem. For any other race it would’ve been
impossible to argue back, and walk away without suffering consequences.
I was shocked after watching the videos. It really bothered me knowing people
were and are still treated so badly. I think we all need to work on accepting
everyone’s differences. Everyone is different and it’s not a bad thing. No one should
be punished, criticized, or disrespected for being different in any way. The video
was a very interesting way to prove to Americans how we can be disrespectful to
different races. It was brutal, but the point was made very clearly that there are
issues that need to be fixed and brought to everyone’s attention.
