The Vesper Street Shared Use Path project was completed on January 24, 2019, providing a 10-foot wide asphalt path approximately 2030 feet long from Vesper Street to Leesburg Pike and the Spring Hill Metro Station. The project included a pedestrian bridge, stormwater drainage, and various safety features, enhancing access for local neighborhoods to the metro station. The project was managed by the Fairfax County Department of Transportation and was executed within budget.

Description:
The Vesper Street Shared Use project was substantially completed within budget on January 24,
2019. This project provided of a 10’ft wide asphalt shared use path approximately 2030’ft in
length from the end of Vesper Street to the intersection of Leesburg Pike and the Spring Hill
Metro Station. The project includes a 90’ft pedestrian bridge over Courthouse Spring Branch,
storm water drainage, asphalt paving, light poles, handrails, guardrails bollards, pavement
markings and related signage.
Benefits:
• Provides safe access to the Spring Hill Metro Station from the surrounding neighborhoods.
