1. 5-2 Adding Vectors Graphically When a vector is moved around in a plane, it is considered to be the same vector. These vectors are considered to be identical. a means “vector a” a means “magnitude of vector a”

2. Vectors can be added in any order. When 2 or more vectors are added, the sum of the vectors is called the resultant , which has the same start point as the first vector and the same end point as the last vector. eg. r + s + t = u r s t u There are two methods of adding vectors graphically.
