This document provides instructions for back filling and area filling using sandy soil. It describes the process of removing loose particles from column footings, importing sandy soil and testing it, marking the footing in 9 inch intervals, compacting 6 inch layers of moistened soil around columns up to the footing level using a soil compactor, then repeating to the ground level, spreading an 8 inch layer of soil over the area, watering as advised, and using a vibro roller to compact the soil in 6 inch layers to the required level.
