Otto Kekäläinen presented on how the VALO-CD project helped introduce free and open source software to the general population in Finland. VALO-CD provided easy to use, high quality FOSS programs on a single disc, with the goal of making installation and use simple. The project saw success, with over 72,000 unique visitors since 2008 and about 1,000 downloads per month. Kekäläinen discussed how a focus on user experience was important to address issues people had installing new software. He concluded by announcing the English version of VALO-CD was released and they were looking for resellers.
