2. Benefits of immunization/vaccination
The vaccines work by building up the child’s defense capacity
against diseases.
Immunized people do not spread diseases threatening the
family or other members of the community.
Some diseases often lead to death if not treated
with vaccination.

Children who are immunized are protected from dangerous
diseases. Otherwise these diseases may lead to disability or death
Every girl and boy needs to get immunized. All children have
the right to get this protection
It is safe to immunize the child even if it has got an illness or a
disability or is suffering from malnutrition
Immunization only works if given before the disease strikes

Pregnant women need immunization to protect themselves
