This document provides instructions for setting up a master item in the Oracle Inventory system. It describes how to assign an item code, select a template, assign general ledger accounts and categories, assign the item to organizations and sub-inventories, and enter a fixed lot multiple quantity. Navigation paths are included to guide the user through each setup step in the system.

For entering the new item code, the user will click on the “Key Flex Field” check box.

4. Select the desired “Item Prefix”
Enter New Item Code and save your work.

Select copy from the tools menu (or press Alt+T). We are going to copy the attributes from the template:
For TATA BEST Food Item:
Choose from previous item.

8. For Routine Item:
Choose the Routine Template.
For Expense Item:
Choose the Expense Template.
Before saving the work check information filled through Template and make sure Unit Of Measurement
is entered correctly.
Save the item by clicking on the “Save” icon (or press Ctrl+S).

10. Category Assigning
Select copy from the tools menu (or press Alt+T). We are going to assign the category to item.

11. Save the item by clicking on the “Save” icon (or press Ctrl+S).

12. Organization Assigning
Click on “Organization Assignment” tab and check the box of organization to which you want to assign the new
item.
Save the item by clicking on the “Save” icon (or press Ctrl+S).
