Javelin provides Canadian Designers and Manufacturers with Stratasys 3D Printers and SolidWorks CAD software so they can take their initial idea to physical prototype with the push of a button.
Make Realistic Prototypes in Less Time with Multi-Material 3D PrintingDesign World
Creating prototypes that look and feel like their production counterparts greatly reduces the product development cycle and makes communication of design ideas much more effective. Most prototypes, however, are made from multiple parts that need to be assembled, which takes time. PolyJet multi-material 3D printing lets you quickly produce realistic prototypes with different material properties and colors, all in a single manufacturing operation. View the webinar to learn how multi-material 3D printing saves time.

In our webinar we will take you on a journey to discover the latest trends in additive manufacturing for developing pharmaceutical dosage forms. We provide you a fundamental understanding of the different technologies currently evaluated in pharmaceutical industry. A clear definition of the key aspects of the individual technologies ensure a strong basis for future implementation of this technology in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
We will review the existing technologies and outline the potential for the targeted application.
An important aspect will be the filament-based 3D printing technology.
A case study will be presented on how a hot melt extrusion process can be optimized for filament production. Material properties as well as down-stream equipment drive a successful implementation.
We will also present a novel melt-based 3D printing approach, which can directly create the final dosage form out of powder. A drop-based deposition of the polymer melt ensures a new level of accuracy and individualization when it comes to the finishing of the final form.
In this webinar, you will learn:
• Additive manufacturing: Basics and potential application fields
• Overview of existing 3D printing approaches and their relevance in Pharmaceutical Industry
• Background and advantages of extrusion-based 3D printing
• Requirements for FDM (fused deposition modeling) based technologies
• New advanced technical approaches for direct shaping of 3D printed tablets
The 3D printing process builds a three-dimensional object from a computer-aided design model, usually by successively adding material layer by layer, which is why it is also called additive manufacturing,

3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the entire object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced horizontal cross-section of the eventual object.

Templates for Consumer Use in Designing Customised ProductsYudhi Ariadi
This research proposes a new design system for consumers who would use the product to run an easy-to-operate design and selection tool by themselves instead of conventional Computer Aided Design (CAD). In terms of manufacturing the product, several studies focus on involving the consumer as much and as early as possible. However, recent developments of Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) technologies have led to a renewed interest in allowing the consumers to develop customised products. As a result, manufacturing is being brought closer to consumers. This paper would simplify the CAD stages by utilising design templates for consumer use in customising additive layer manufactured products.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

10. 10 STRATASYS / THE 3D PRINTING SOLUTIONS COMPANY
Stringent testing, dedicated resources and accumulated manufacturing
experience make uPrint best-in-class in reliability and accuracy.
• Each Stratasys system is built to the highest standards.
• Every system is tested for at least 36 hours while printing a distinct acceptance
test procedure (ATP) model.
• The ATP model is electronically measured and must perform within the
tightest of tolerances to pass.
• ATP includes:
• Dimensional accuracy over the whole build size
• Repeatability
• Surface quality
• Support structures
• Support removal
• Each ATP model is maintained at Stratasys until the printer is successfully installed
in a customer’s site.
