The beginning of the song will be establishing shots of the school to set the initial scene for
the audience and the development of the narrative. We will look to straight away take
advantage of mise-en-scene in the first few seconds of the video.
0:08 – 0:16
There will be an extreme close-up of Sienna Rose singing, looking directly into the camera.
She will look sad/upset to capture the mood of the video. This shot establishes who are
artist is within the early moments of the video.
0:16 – 0:24
Our artist will then be shown singing in the same location but from a mid-shot. The brand
image is established within this scene.
0:24 – 0:38
Long shot of our main younger character on his own, emphasising his isolation. This will
then cut to a close-up of his face with him possibly looking into the distance/up at sky.
0:39 – 0:50
The shots will consist of the initial meeting between the younger main character and his
friend. These shots will most likely take place in a library.
0:50 – 1:00
The main younger and older characters will be seen walking (separate shots). These shots
will establish the first link between the main younger character and the main older
character.
1:05 – 1:36
The shots will show the two younger friends continuing to hang out in school and sitting on
a bench together. These shots will cut back and forth between Sienna Rose singing the lyrics
to the song, looking into the camera and looking into the distance.

2. 1:37 – 1:47
Mid shot of our younger main character sitting on a bench alone that fades back and forth
from our older main character also sitting on a bench. Both characters will look as if they are
contemplating something.
1:47 – 2:08
Side-view mid shot of Sienna Rose singing whilst looking into the distance. We will also
show a scene of the older main character sitting on the bench being joined by the older
version of his childhood friend.
2:09 – 2:26
Shot of Sienna Rose looking into the distance and then shots of the two older friends in a
new location hanging out and ends with a fade of the main older character sitting in the
same place, but on his own.
2:27 -2:34
Sienna Rose singing directly to the camera, which then cuts to the two older characters on a
bench.
2:35 – 2:40
The main younger character is sitting on a bench and someone tries to console him, but he
pushes them away.
2:41 – 2:50
The two older characters are talking on a bench and then there is fade which reveals that
the older main character is talking to himself.
2:50 – 3:00
Sienna Rose singing to the camera, which cuts to a scene of the older, main character
looking confused and upset.

3. 3:00 – 3:17
Various shots of him walking through a church’s entrance and through a graveyard and
sitting on a bench. There will also be close-ups of this character looking into the distance
during this scene as well as our artist singing,
3:17– 3:20
This scene reverts to the earlier shot of the two younger characters in the library but now it
is just the main, younger character on his own.
3:21 – 3:32
Shot of the scenic location however there is no one there. Cuts to our artist performing the
song whilst walking through a forest.
3:32 – 3:45
There will be a low angle shot of the church and then a wide shot of the older main
character at a grave and slowly rising to his feet and walking away, turning his head as he
does so.
3:45 – 3:50
Sienna Rose continues singing and walking through the forest and then stops and continues
singing.
3:51 – 4:00
(Walking away from the camera) The two younger characters are walking and talking. This
then fades to the main, younger character in the same position but walking on his own.
4:01 – 4:14
The final shot will be a side view mid-shot of the older, main character sitting on a wall on
his own at the scenic location looking down, he then turns forward, gets up and walks away.
This will then fade to the two younger characters sitting on a bench laughing, until a fade to
black.
