Narrative ideas
The character in the narrative will keep finding himself in
Strange situations for example A noose round his neck, gun in his mouth. He meets
himself, says hello.
The character starts the narrative ‘coming to’ in a noose, then it cuts to him with
a gun in his mouth, more edgy suicidal cuts, with performance shots mixed it.
Character walks along a beach, cuts to empty road, character still walking, cuts
again, character walking through crowd, cuts again character walking through alley,
Walking through train station, Performance shots. Through the rest of the video the
artist keeps walking with cuts between location and some performance shots, at the
end he maybe meets someone or reaches a location of note?

scrunched up photo of a location or person, goes on a journey to find said person
or location. Cuts to performance shots throughout

PLOT SUMMARY
After doing an audience research survey we found out that the most liked one of our
possible narratives is this one - Character walks along a beach, cuts to empty
road, character still walking, cuts again, character walking through crowd, cuts
again character walking through alley, Walking through train station, Performance
shots. Through the rest of the video the artist keeps walking with cuts between
location and some performance shots, at the end he maybe meets someone or reaches a
location of note? The survey shows that the other narrative with the photo was
also popular so we decided to join them together and have the character walking in
many different locations searching for what is in the photo from the start of the
video until he finds what is in the photograph from the start of the video.
Potential split in music for a block of narrative / story, fits with conven tions.

Detailed outline
The beginning of the music video will start with a montage of some shots that will
introduce the overall idea of loneliness on the music video, this will be done
through shots of ruined areas; Rubble, broke cars, etc and also with pan of the
main character in the distance on his own. The next shot will be an over the
shoulder of the main character holding a photograph, cut to a close up of the
photograph; the photograph is a picture of a building of some importance to the
character.
This will then start the characters journey as he makes his way to the building in
question. The music video will have a strong focus on artistic striking shots of
the character making his way through the various locations (Field, ruined
buildings, train station, abandoned train tracks, alley way, rural road, etc),
through the video he will be on his own helping to further the idea of his
loneliness.
While he walks there will be some performance shots of the character singing to
himself as he walks along.
When he finally reaches the location the shot will be on him holding the picture,
cut to close up on the photo, (Last line of the song plays ‘Sincerely’) The
character then drops the photo revealing the building he went searching for in
ruin, fade to black.
