This document discusses different types of music video genres:
- Performance videos focus on showing the artist/band performing throughout the song, often in unusual locations. They feature the artist lip syncing and dancing.
- Narrative videos tell a story similar to a short film, with the artist sometimes acting instead of just performing. They are constructed like short films and mimic different genres. The story keeps viewers engaged until a resolution at the end.
- The example of "How Do You Sleep?" by Sam Smith analyzes it as a performance video based on Smith being featured throughout dancing and lip syncing in various settings.

“To be integrated is to feel secure, to feel connected.” The views and experi...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

Improving Workplace Safety Performance in Malaysian SMEs: The Role of Safety ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: In the Malaysian context, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experience a significant
burden of workplace accidents. A consensus among scholars attributes a substantial portion of these incidents to
human factors, particularly unsafe behaviors. This study, conducted in Malaysia's northern region, specifically
targeted Safety and Health/Human Resource professionals within the manufacturing sector of SMEs. We
gathered a robust dataset comprising 107 responses through a meticulously designed self-administered
questionnaire. Employing advanced partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques
with SmartPLS 3.2.9, we rigorously analyzed the data to scrutinize the intricate relationship between safety
behavior and safety performance. The research findings unequivocally underscore the palpable and
consequential impact of safety behavior variables, namely safety compliance and safety participation, on
improving safety performance indicators such as accidents, injuries, and property damages. These results
strongly validate research hypotheses. Consequently, this study highlights the pivotal significance of cultivating
safety behavior among employees, particularly in resource-constrained SME settings, as an essential step toward
enhancing workplace safety performance.

8. Narrative
Narrative based music videos feature a series of shots that are designed to
tell a story, similar to a short film. Some can feature brief artist
performance, others have the artist acting rather than performing and
some feature no artist at all. The main focus of narrative based music
videos is the story being told its protagonists. Narrative videos are
constructed in the same nature as a short film and often mimic a film
genre. The restricted narrative keeps the audience asking questions until
there is a resolution which is usually the end of the video, a producer will
use enigma codes to keep the audience interested and taking an interest
in the video as well as the song.
The One That Got Away by Katy Perry: In this video Katy Perry plays a
fictional character as we follow the story of how she lost her true love.
Katy occasionally performs in this video, but does so in character. The
artists plays three roles in this video; the old lady living in the present, the
younger version of herself who appears in memories and a third abstract
character who performs. The narrative is supported by opening and
closing scenes that occur before and after the audio track.
9. Jonas Blue - Perfect Strangers ft.
JP Cooper
Perfect strangers Directed by
Sashinski, it finds a couple of
tourists enjoying a holiday
romance in a stunning African
city. They take in the local
culture, see the sights and
make out against scenic
backdrops. It’s upbeat and
very summery, which is a
nice fit for the song’s mix of
tropical, pop and future
house elements.
0:00-0:15
Displays the narrative of the
male and female going on a
holiday due to the sense of
adventure through the moving
title image of the plane and the
close up shots of the individuals
either in an airport or with
backpacks on when they have
arrived
0:15-0:24
The close ups continue of the
couple exploring the country
with bright saturated colours
surrounding them to display a
happy tone to the music video
making it bright and uplifting for
the audience.
10. Jonas Blue - Perfect Strangers ft.
JP Cooper
0:24-0:31
The slow motion of the
protagonist women displays
a narrative in the way it
shows the story of when
boy meets girl however is
emphasized by slow motion
to capture the important
moment of them meeting.
0:31-0:45
The editing is now more fast
paced when the male is
experiencing the culture of
the city. However the slow
motion returns when he sees
the female this could be
interpreted as a narrative in
the way time goes slow when
he sees her.
0:45-1:02
The slow motion editing is continued
however the male is now in slow
motion also to represent how the
female has the same feelings when
with the male. The adventure has
gone from arriving in the country to
going to an aquarium meaning we are
following a narrative of their time
together.
11. Jonas Blue - Perfect Strangers ft.
JP Cooper
1:02-1:11
Short clips of the female
and male in different
locations to show the
different things they endure
on the trip as well as
meeting each other. The
individuals are still edited
in slow motion.
1:11-1:32
The short clips carried on
creating a montage of children
dancing in a fast pace to the
couple in slow motion. This
could also follow the narrative in
the way the world is carrying on
at normal speed but when they
are together everything goes
slower.
1:58-2:08
Scenic footage of the individuals
exploring the country with the
sense of adventure in the way
the camera is not fully stabilised
the audience feel like they are in
the narrative with them. Slow
motion of the couple meeting
again then you see they are
finally joint together and not
seen individually.
12. Jonas Blue - Perfect Strangers ft.
JP Cooper
2:08-3:27 the video carries on with the short clips of the couple and the culture
of an African city however the couple are now together so you see them as a
couple not as individuals showing the narrative of 'perfect strangers' becoming a
perfect couple. Todorov theory studied classic fairy tales and stories.
He discovered that narratives moved forward in a chronological order with one
action following after another. In other words, they have a clear beginning,
middle and end.
