Assessment Center
Tulsa Technology Center, Careers Service Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma
Supervises the computer lab/testing room for the school district. All tests are
computerized and testing is done as a walk-in basis except Practical Nursing
and WorkKeys. Proctors adult and high school admission assessments for
Tulsa Tech applicants. Admission assessments include the Test of Adult
Basic Education (TABE), form A for adults and D for high school
applications, COMPASS, HESI A2 (Health Education System Information)
for Practical Nursing, and TerraNova for high school students. Proctors non-
admission assessments, which include WorkKeys tests for career readiness,
and the Electrical Licensing and Journeyman tests for the City of Tulsa.
Assist clients with maneuvering the computerized tests. Troubleshoots the
computer and software if the test goes offline or closes to return the
applicant to their place in the test.
Trains and informs TTC campus Academic Center (AC) Instructors about
administering WorkKeys in the classroom and how to prepare the required
documentation. Organizes WorkKeys documents for clients to receive
Career Ready Certificates (CRC) certificates and wallet cards, and submits
documents to the State Department of Career Tech. Assists and
troubleshoots for the (AC) Instructors when they encounter WorkKeys
testing problems during the year, and provide them resolutions to issues.
Builds and maintains the course registration schedule for HESI A2 testing;
using Datatel/Ellucian TTC students database for the morning, afternoon
and Tuesday/Thursday evening assessments for several application periods
per year.
Communicates with clients in person and via telephone to answer
assessment inquiries, schedule WorkKeys tests and other school District
inquiries.
Provides the Assessment Center team support for Microsoft and Outlook
software.
