2. PAST PERFECT TENSE- I/We/They/You + HAD (=I’d) He/She/It + Had (=he’d) Finished, lost, done, been etc.

3. The past perfect is had + past participle. The past participle often ends – ed (finished, decided), but many verbs are irregular ( lost, done, been, written)

4. Time words used it:Past perfect simple- by the time, after, before, by six o’clock/midnight

5. Example:When Sarah arrived at the party, Paul had already gone home.Сарааг үдэшлэгэнд ирэхэд Паул аль хэдийнээ явчихсан байсан.
