19. Present Perfect Tense
Present perfect tense merupakan tenses yang digunakan untuk menyatakan
kegiatan yang terjadi pada masa lampau dan masih berpengaruh sampai
sekarang.
Adapun fungsi present perfect tense adalah sebagai berikut:
Untuk mengungkapkan kejadian dimasa lampau tanpa peduli kapan terjadinya.
Contoh : I have read this book ; I have visited all of them
Untuk menunjukkan bahwa suatu aksi terjadi berulang kali di masa lampau
Contoh: I has called you three times
Untuk mengungkapkan aktivitas atau situasi di masa lampau dan masih
berpengaruh sampai sekarang.
Contoh: I have live in Jakarta for 3 years ; She has studied in Japan since
2011
Digunakan untuk membicarakan kejadian yang baru saja terjadi
Contoh: The rain has just stopped

20. Present Perfect Tense (RUMUS)
1. Bentuk Nominal (Untuk kalimat yg tidak memiliki kata kerja)
(+) Subjek (I,You,We,They) + have + been + Non Verb
(+) Subjek (He, She, It) + has + been + Non Verb
Contoh :
She has been here for 20 minutes
She has been in Surabaya since 2010
I have been here before
I have been here since two hours ago
(-) Subjek (I,You,We,They) + have + not + been + Non Verb
(-) Subjek (He, She, It) + has + not + been + Non Verb
Contoh :
She has not been here for 20 minutes
She has not been in Surabaya since 2010
I have not been here before
I have not been here since two hours ago

22. Present Perfect Continuous Tense
Present pefect continuous tense adalah tenses yang digunakan untuk menyatakan
tindakan yang dimulai di masa lalu dan masih berpengaruh sampai sekarang.
Kegunaan present perfect continuous tense:
* Menunjukkan aksi yang baru saja selesai. Biasanya menggunakan adverb just.
Contoh:
It has just been snowing in Japan
* Untuk menunjukkan aksi yang telah selesai pada suatu titik di masa lampau
dan diikuti relevansinya dengan kondisi saat ini.
Contoh :
Sony feels full as he has been eating a half of the tart.
* Digunakan untuk menunjukkan aksi di masa lampau dan masih berlanjut
sampai sekarang.
Contoh:
The passenger have been waiting for the next flight since this morning

23. Present Perfect Continuous Tense
Rumus Verbal
(+) S + Have/Has + been + V1-ing +O
(-) S + Have/Has + not +been + V1-ing + O
(?) Have/has + S + been + V1-ing + O
Contoh :
He has been studying for 3 hours
He has not been studying for 3 hours
Has He been studying for 3 hours ? Yes, He Has / No, He Hasn’t

24. Past Perfect Tense
Past perfect tense merupakan tenses yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan
peristiwa yang terjadi di masa lampau sebelum suatu kejadian lainnya
terjadi.
Contoh :
When he came last night, the cake had run out.
I had been there when you arrived
Rumus :
(+) S + Had + V3
(-) S + Had + Not + V3
(?) Had + S + V3
Contoh :
He had been a newspaper report before he became a businessman.
Budiman’s family had not been in Aceh before the tragedy of tsunami happened in 2004.
Had Susi been a doctor when you met her last year ? yes, she had / no, she had not.

25. Past Perfect Tense (Cont.)
Selain digunakan untuk menceritakan peristiwa yang terjadi di masa lampau, past
perfect tense juga digunakan pada kondisi lain yaitu :
Past perfect tense digunakan untuk menyampaikan seberapa sering suatu
kejadian terjadi di masa lampau.
Contoh :
I had read the book three times.
They had met twice before married
Digunakan pada reported speech.
Contoh :
They said that he had listened carefully
I thought he had changed to be better man.
Mengekspresikan harapan/impian yang tidak kesampaian.
Contoh :
If he had taken a bath fast he would have not missed the train.

26. Past Perfect Continuous Tense
Past perfect continuous tense digunakan untuk menyatakan aksi yang panjang di masa
lampau sebelum aksi lainnya terjadi.
Contoh :
When the guest came, we had been waiting for an hour.
Fungsi lain dari past perfect continuous tense adalah untuk memberitahukan berapa lama
suatu kejadian terjadi di masa lampau.
Contoh:
I had been working with my computer all day and I wanted to do was eat some chocolate.
Rumus :
S + Had + been + V-ing
S + Had + not + been + V-ing
Had + S + been + V-ing
Contoh :
I had been waiting here for 2 hours before finally the bus came
The patient had not been waiting for the doctor for an hour but only for 10 minutes before finally he came
Had you been waiting for the teacher for 15 minutes before finally he came?

27. Future Perfect Continuous Tense
Future perfect tense digunakan untuk membicarakan tentang aksi yang panjang sebelum
titik waktu tertentu di masa depan.
Biasanya dalam kehidupan sehari hari kita akan menggunakan kalimat kalimat dengan
struktur Future Perfect Continuous tense bahasa inggris ini dengan tujuan untuk
menceritakan kejadian kejadian yang akan berlangsung pada waktu tertentu di masa
depan.
Future Perfect Continuous Tense dikenal juga dengan sebutan Present Future Perfect
Continuous atau juga Future Perfect Progressive.
Rumus
(+) S + Will + Have + Been + V-ing
(-) S + Will + Not + Have + Been + V-ing
(?) Will + S + Have + Been + V-ing?
Contoh :
 He will have been studying in Japan for a year by the end of next year
 Andra will have been waiting for three month when the corn is ready to harvest
 I will have been sleeping for two hours by the time my brother gets home
 My grandmother will have been visiting us tomorrow morning
 My grandmother will not have been visiting us tomorrow morning
 Will your grandmother have been visiting you tomorrow morning?

28. Past future Perfect Tense
Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan atau peristiwa yang
akan sudah selesai pada waktu tapi tidak terjadi.
Rumus
S + would /should + have + V3
S + would /should + not + have + V3
would /should + S + have + V3?
Contoh :
I would have graduated from University last year if I had finished writing my thesis
The ship would not have sunk to the bottom of the sea if it had not hit the huge rock
Would you have come to my party last week if you had been invited?

29. Past future Perfect Continuous Tense
Tenses ini digunakan untuk memberitahukan beberapa lama suatu aksi yang akan
sudah sedang berlansung pada masa lampu tetapi tidak terlaksana karena
disebabkan hal lain.
Contoh :
Bapak Yurnalis akan sedang mengajar selama 15 tahun di sekolah kami tapi dia telah
meninggal tahun lalu.
Rumus :
S + Would / Should + Have + been + V-ing
S + Would / Should + not + have + been + V-ing
Would / Should + S + Have + been + V-ing
Contoh :
Fajri would have been waiting for his friend for 2 hours at 8 pm but he had gone at
8.30 pm
I would have been staying in Canada for a year, but I had been sick
