Matt died of colon cancer at age 59. Colon cancer ran in his family and he had experienced rectal bleeding multiple times but did not seek medical help. Matt spent significant time experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, blood in his stool, abdominal pain, and weight loss but still did not get medical assistance. Had Matt lived a healthier lifestyle and reported his symptoms to his doctor, he may have caught the cancer earlier and been able to see his grandchildren grow up.
