This document discusses different types of video projectors and their uses: - Long-throw projectors can project from a distance but have less defined images, while short-throw projectors have clearer images but must be closer to the screen. - A Matrox box connects to a Mac and can split the video signal to project the same image on multiple projectors simultaneously. - Qlab software on Macs can play audio and video files and is used with a Matrox to control multiple synchronized projectors.

 The further away the projector is from the screen the less defined the
image becomes.
 To prevent shadows being cast you could invert the image and then place
the projector behind the screen removing the possibility of shadows.
Mainly behind the set or stage.
 You would use a long-throw projector over a short if in a large space
because they can be placed further away from the screen but still get a
decent image where as a short throw would not reach the distance a long
could. These are normally used in assembly halls for shows .

3.  You can manually focus the image
 Uses VGA cables
 Also has USB input
 Also plays DVDs
 Flip out mirrors, these reflect the image to hit screens in a possible
awkward place
 I would use a short over a long if you don’t have too much space for
example a classroom. This is because if you move the projector too far the
image becomes pixelated and then eventually too poor quality to see.
Another example is using them in a bedroom for watching DVDs.

4.  The matrox works with Qlab to split the image coming through the Mac
computer into three different images. (matrox only works on apple) . Also
the same image can be sent too three different projectors at the same time.

 It allows you to drop in MP3 files
 It allows you to play multiple videos (with a matrox)
 Videos need to be converted to QuickTime or MP4 files to be played
