4. >The narrative structure is
closed as all questions
are left answered.
>It is single stranded as it
is just about one topic
which is Meat Loaf.
>It is also non linear as it
hops backwards and
forwards through the
information.
5. The camera footage with in this documentary is mostly either handheld or kept
in one specififc place infront of the interviewees.
However, when there is intervals with in the speech the handheld camera is
used. It specifically shows at a gig as if you are a fly on the wall this portrays
the raw, edgy and messiness of the music industry also in particular the quick
shot reverse shots, cantered angles and unfocused frames suggest this, but it
could also show a low budget production which depicts the theme of money
and wealth.
The use of close ups and medium close ups are
stereotypical in documentaries as it makes
sense when a person on screen is talking to
have all focus on them.
6. In this documentary the interviews all use very
stereotypical editing as you can't hear the questions the
interviewee is asked only their answers. Fading of the
chromakey in the background was also implemented in
most interviews. The pacing of editing was also done in
fast motion at some parts, which give the impression of
the hussle and bussle of the music industry.
7. Chromakey is used a great deal in all of the interviews, this is
used in the background of interviews when an image is
projected onto a blue or green screen behind the interviewee.
The images behind the interviewee are always relevant to the
subject that they are talking about.
8. A voice over is used in this documentary like most, and
is a standard English speaking male. The music tracks
that are used in any standard documentary are always
relevant to the topic that is being talked about.
9. The name of the programme
uses graphics, and it is a white
font on a red background to
ensure it stands out, the font
which reads underneath the
interviewee when they appear
on screen is a type of graphics,
which tells you the name of the
interviewee and the relevance
to the topic. They also tell you
the location of any important
places or events.
10. Different types of achieve
material were used in this
documentary;
