1. Task 6
This is the camera we had used for recording
our opening sequence. The camera is a
Canon DSLR which produces high resolution
quality images and the ability to film. We
found this camera very easy to work with which
in the end produced a high quality product. In
hind sight we could have prepared ourselves
better with the use of the tripod especially
within the cemetery scenes did produced
camera shots which may be perceived as what
we did not intend such as moving behind the
tree. We also had to learn about the different
file formats which the camera produces its
footage making sure that it will be compatible with the editing software of choice.
This is the editing software we had used
called Sony Vegas Pro 10.0. We had
chosen this software as one of our members
felt like that he could produce a better quality
end product using this software which he was
also familiar with using. One reason for
using this rather than Final Cut Express was
the wide range of the compatible file formats
as FCE can only read .mp4 or other quick
time videos. With this software we can use markers to show ourselves areas where adding in
effects will be most effective and in time within the whole flow of the product.
