Analyze the cartoon on p. 269.  Be sure to identify & explain key symbols and to discuss the artist's point of view.<br />Culminating Activity:<br />Create an interactive quot;
Facebookquot;
 page for a historical figure important to the growth of America's industrial society.  Examples include Andrew Carnegie, Eugene V. Debs, Boss Tweed, and Jane Addams.<br />Create an information page (Slides 1 & 2) for your historical figure.<br />Basic Information (Slides 1 & 2) about your figure can be found on Wikipedia or other digital encyclopedias.  It is worth 10 points.<br />Personal Information (Slide 2) about your figure should reflect his/her point of view.  It requires a certain amount of creativity and is worth 15 points.<br />Add six friends (Slide 1) for your historical figure.  These do not have to be limited to men and women who were alive during the late 19th century and should reflect your historical figure's point of view.  They are worth 10 points.<br />Add a status update (Slides 1, 2, & 3) for your historical figure.  This should answer the Guiding Question from the point of view of your historical figure.  It is worth 10 points.<br />Write a dialogue (Slide 1) that reflects your historical figure's point of view regarding the Guiding Question.  It is worth 35 points.<br />Your dialogue must include at least 5 posts.<br />At least one post must be written by someone who agrees with your historical figure.<br />At least one post must be written by someone who disagrees with your historical figure.<br />Add photos and other details to your pages (Slides 1, 2, & 3).  They are worth 20 points.<br />

Debs, Boss Tweed, and Jane Addams.<br />Create an information page (Slides 1 & 2) for your historical figure.<br />Basic Information (Slides 1 & 2) about your figure can be found on Wikipedia or other digital encyclopedias. It is worth 10 points.<br />Personal Information (Slide 2) about your figure should reflect his/her point of view. It requires a certain amount of creativity and is worth 15 points.<br />Add six friends (Slide 1) for your historical figure. These do not have to be limited to men and women who were alive during the late 19th century and should reflect your historical figure's point of view. They are worth 10 points.<br />Add a status update (Slides 1, 2, & 3) for your historical figure. This should answer the Guiding Question from the point of view of your historical figure.
