Simple present Wh-questions and statements What do  you  do ? I ´m  a student, and I  have  a   part-time job Where do  you  work ? I  work  at/in a restaurant Where do  you  go  to school? I  go  to the University of Texas Where does  Andrea  work ? She  works  at Thomas Cook Travel What does  she  do ? She´s a guide. She  takes  people  on tours How does  she  like  it? She  loves  it
Do or does?? Do  is plural , and is used with the first person  (I)  as an exception, and with  You, We  and  They. Does   is singular , and is used with  He, She  or  It.
I  work  in a hospital You  work  in a school She  works  in a restaurant He  works  in a travel agency It  works We work  in a gas station They  work in the Central Bank I/You/We/They He/She/It take takes study studies teach teaches do does go goes have has In simple present we don’t need to do any change to the verb, but when referring to the third person of the singular, that is  he, she or it , we need to add an ‘s’ at the end of the verb. Sometimes that ‘s’ becomes ‘es’.
-S or -ES? With most verbs, the third person singular form is created simply by adding -S. However, with some verbs, you need to add -ES or change the ending a little. My favorite subject is ___________. Wow, that sounds interesting... Tell me, Are you analyzing me?? Ha ha ha ha, No… don’t worry… I’m just in the second semester.
