MY FIVE SENSES
The purpose of this presentation
is to promote discussion among
my students about their five
senses.
It will also introduce the students
to terms that are opposite.

Using Power Point
I will use this specific power point program early in the
school year to teach my first science unit which ties in with
my first reading theme. I hope to create other power point
presentations throughout the year to supplement my science
lessons since we do not have a science book in first grade.
My students work on several projects throughout the year
which they present orally to the class. As the year goes on I
would like to have my students create an individual slide
about their project. I would like to incorporate all these
slides into a power point presentation that could then be
shown to their parents.

The nerveous system
 The nervous system has two main parts:
 CENTRAL NERVOUS SYTEM
 PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM
CENTRAL NERVOUS
SYSTEM
 The brain is inside the skill. It has got three
main parts:
 Cerebrum
 Cerebellum
 Brain stem.
 The spinal cord is insede the spinal column.

MOVEMENTS
 Nerve impulses for voluntary movements go from
the brain to the muscles.
 Tehe nerve impulses for involuntary movements
go from the spinal cord to the musles.

 MALE SEX CELLS
 The male sex cells is sperm.
SEX CELLS
 FEMALE SEX CELLS.
 The female sex cells is ovum.
FECUNDATION
 If there is any ovum (egg cell) released, the egg
cell and the sperm cells meet.
FECUNDATION
 Once a sperm fertilizes an OVUM, it becomes
a zygote. The zygote then divides itself to form a
very tiny ball called an embryo. The embryo
continues downwards and finds itself a
confortable place in the uterus.
FOETAL DEVELOPMENT
 The embryo becomes a foetus (say fee-
tus) eight weeks after fecundation. The
foetus depends upon its mother for
protection, oxygen and nutrients as it
develops.
Inside the uterus, there is a bag called the.
‘Amnion’
BIRTH
 After nine months the baby is fully developed and
ready to be born into the big wide world.
