Process: Customer Orders automation
Process execution: Manual, using UiPath Assistant and Attended Robot
Process run time: Depends on volume. Processing peaks happen and occasional overtime needed.
Process stages:
1. Download purchase orders from storage location (shared folder, FTP server, customer’s portal,
email, etc.)
2. Extract data from Purchase order. If extraction confidence score is above 0.9, proceed further. If
less, human verification is required
3. Approval of PO. If Order amount exceeds 1000 RM, approval required. Below 1000 RM, approval
is not mandatory. Additional discount may be entered upon approval.
4. Export of extracted and approved PO data. Destination: Excel file, web form, ERP system, etc.

• Independent process – no single point of failure for entire process. If e.g. download process
fails, extraction, approval and export of documents in the Queues can continue.
• Easier collaboration – each developer can work on his process independently
• Reduced implementation time – simpler processes, simpler debugging, simpler testing.
• Easier CR implementation – change in e.g. download process, does not affect other processes.
No regression testing for entire process necessary.
• Greater flexibility. E.g. if new data source needs to be added, instead of changing existing
Process 1, Process 1A will be delivered to feed data into Queue 1.
• 24/7/365 Operations. Download, extraction and export can happen at any time of the day.
• Greater security as user interaction is limited and fraud potential is reduced.
