Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
2. ▶ The first thing that comes to our mind when we talk about E-Commerce is
that it is an online commercial or sales transaction that takes place between
the supplier and the customer.
▶ E-commerce is the activity of buying or selling of products on online
or over the internet.
▶ E-commerce brings convenience for customers as they do not have to
home and only need to browse website online, especially for buying the
products which are not sold in nearby shops.
3. ▶ While the idea of the concept is right, there are more specific factors
involved
▶ Electronic commerce greatly facilitates transactions between companies and
consumers (B2C), between one company and another (B2B), and between
individual consumers (C2C).
▶ There are a lot of advantages of e-commerce like global market reach,
global choice for consumer, short product/service distribution chain
4. ▶ The E-commerce industry is a force that no investor can affore to ignore.
▶ However, and although this idea is right, we can be more specific and actually
divide e-commerce into six major types, all with different characteristics.
5. ▶ There are 6 basic types of e-commerce:
▶ Business-to-Businesss (B2B)
▶ Business-to-Consumer (B2C)
▶ Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C)
▶ Consumer-to-Business (C2B)
▶ Business-to-Administration (B2A)
▶ Consumer-to-Administration (C2A)
6. ▶ 1. Business-to-Business (B2B) – Business-to-Business (B2B) e-commerce encompasses all electronic
transactions of goods or services conducted between companies. Producers and traditional
commerce wholesalers typically operate with this type of electronic commerce.
7. ▶ 2. Business-to-Consumer (B2C)*The Business-to-Consumer type of e-
commerce is distinguished by the establishment of electronic business
relationships between businesses and final consumers.
8. ▶ 3. Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C) - Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C) type e-commerce encompasses all
electronic transactions of goods or services conducted between consumers. Generally, these transactions
are conducted through a third party, which provides the online platform where the transactions are
actually carried out.
9. ▶ 4. Consumer-to-Business (C2B) - In C2B there is a complete reversal of the
traditional sense of exchanging goods. This type of e-commerce is very
common in crowdsourcing based projects.
10. ▶ 5. Business-to-Administration (B2A) - This part of e-commerce
encompasses all transactions conducted online between companies and
public administration. This is an area that involves a large amount and a
variety of services, particularly in areas such as fiscal, social security,
employment, legal documents and registers, etc.
▶ 6. Consumer-to-Administration (C2A) - The Consumer-to-Administration
model encompasses all electronic transactions conducted between
individuals and public administration.
11. ▶ Examples of applications include:
▶ Education – disseminating information, distance learning, etc.
▶ Security – through the distribution of information, making payments, etc.
▶ Taxes – filing tax returns, payments, etc.
▶ Health – appointments, information about illnesses, payment of health services, etc.
12. ▶ E-Commerce is not just about conducting business transactions via the Internet.
Its impact will be far-reaching, and more prominent then we know currently.
▶ The new age of global e-commerce is creating entirely new economy and that
will tremendously change our lives, will reshape the competition in various
industries, and alter the economy globally.
▶ As companies are gaining high profits, more and more other companies are
developing their websites to increase their profits.

become significantly contribute to the economies of the countries.

be fade away soon.
▶ Ecommerce has now become a key component of many organizations in the
daily running of their business.
▶ As the internet and e-commerce has developed, it continues to evolve and
grow, it is vital that any organization or industry, must have strategic planning
