This document defines and describes five main types of computers: super computers, mainframe computers, mini computers, micro computers, and embedded computers. Super computers are specialized to perform one specific task, mainframe computers can perform several functions and are used by governments. Mini computers also perform multiple functions but are used by small to medium sized businesses. Micro computers are multi-purpose and affordable for individual use. Embedded computers are dedicated devices that perform single tasks using micro-controllers rather than CPUs.

2. INTRODUCTION
 Computer is an electronic device that accepts data
, process data, out put and store information .
There are five types of computers namely;
 Super computers
 Mainframe computers
 Mini computers
 Micro computers
 Embedded computers

3. Definition of computers
 Super computers: they are the types of computers that are
made to do just one particular job.(they said to be
specialized)
 Mainframe computer: they are the types of computers that
perform several functions, they are used by government
departments.(they are multipurpose machines)
 Mini computers: they are the type of computers that perform
several functions but are used by small organizations
and/medium sized businesses.

4. Continuation on defining types of computers
 Micro computers: is a multi-purpose
microcomputer whose size ,capabilities, and price
make it feasible for individual use.
 Embedded :they are not computers but they are
dedicated devices and are made to do one task as
well , they don’t have CPUs but they are equipped
with micro-controllers to help them to function.
