This guy posts a lot of links and quotes. I can’t say that they all have a central theme. Some are about his
kids, some about his religious beliefs, some about education, and some about teaching diversity. This
makes his page feel more real. He is not pushing some agenda the whole time. He is just posting things
that he genuinely cares about and finds interesting. He also acknowledged that a bunch of Marshall
Students were following him which made him seem even more down to earth. He even tweeted back at
me when I replied to the tweet about Marshall. He is definitely someone I would recommend following.
@CI350Class
Links and PolarBeat. If you need to know why teachers need to use social media, follow CI350class. If
you need to know where Harold Blanco has mountain biked while using PolarBeat, follow CI350class.
This profile is a great source for links on social media and other uses of tech in education. Earlier tweets
are a little more diverse, but the above themes are topic of discussion in the most recent tweets. It is
also helpful that this user replies to tweets. Overall, good resource of links on media and tech in
education, but is distracted by mountain biking and Polar Beat. I feel like it kind of defeats the purpose
of calling it C350class if half of the tweets are about Harold Mountain Biking, unless it’s supposed to be
designed as a personal account. Then, the tweets make more sense.
@ChrisWejr
It seems like a common theme to just post a butt load of links. Not only does Chris post links, he is also a
champ at retweeting. The general theme of his tweets are general ideas about education. He does not
have a particular issue that he seems really passionate about, just a lot of topics of discussion and
debate. This is mixed with his stand on certain topics and an occasionally tweet about basketball. Chris is
a principal and this profile would be a good one to follow if you are a principal and would like to see
posts regarding general ideas about school and education.
@cybraryman1
This guy is a promotion machine. What’s the product? His own website, cybraryman.com. The general
theme of his tweets seem to be to provide links to the different pages of his website. These pages
provide information and resources on everything from Summer Learning to Teacher Appreciation. If you
want resources or you want to follow an account for resources, then this is your guy. This page reflects
its name aptly by providing a cyber-library. Follow this guy if you are in the field of education. With the
amount of resources he shares, this profile is bound to come in handy.
@kylepace
A lot of this guy's tweets are on technology in education, and recently about #edcampkc which is a
professional development event for teachers. This event contains resources regarding educational
technology, but other than that I don’t know. He also seems to be a fan of teachers which is good. I
think this would be another good resource for technology and collaborating with other teachers to
better each other.
