RCC delivery system
• 350 m overland conveyor with integrated stepped sectional conveyor
tranfers with swinger discharge conveyor for loading haul trucks on the fill
• Simple system used worldwide successfully for RCC dam construction
• This system was used on 8 of the top 10 fasted constructed RCC dams in
the world (MDA database) with placement rates ranging from 52,000 m3
per month to 125,000 m3 per month
• Al Wehdah Dam was the 6th fastest RCC Dam constructed with an
average monthly rate of 75,000 m3/ month of the 360 RCC dams completed
world wide. (MDA database)
• Access walkways for safety, continuous maintenance ,and inspection
purposes without an interruption to the RCC operation while in production
• Simply mechanical system = Less down time
• Wider conveyor = less speed = less segregation and less maintenance
• Less up front Capital = better value for money

155 m Ralco Dam Chile
 RCC placement 24 hrs
5 th fastest RCC dam constructed
 worldwide when completed
• I.6 million m3 RCC

• Main conveyor with transfer to feed link conveyor combined
with a tripper conveyor and Crawler Placer system on the fill

• Trucks were loaded on the fill directly from main conveyor
when the complex system used for placement on the dam
was being installed and during down time.

• This system is very effective for large and extremely
complicated RCC dams generally over 1 million m3.
