The document summarizes the production of a TV credits sequence. Key details include:
- Filming took place at locations near the college and an air museum, with challenges like roads.
- Stock footage of a plane was used from a flight simulator app.
- Effects like a "trible" font and monster eyes filter were added in editing.
- Skills developed include editing, organization, and title design using photo editing.
- The 12+ rating is due to some scary elements and mild language.
2. 1)9 keys frames.
We used t-shirts and chinos in the the sequence because theyāre the sort of clothes you
would wear too a hot country abroad. There are only 2 costumes we had too come up
with as Jack and I were the only survivors from the plane crash.
3. This is an animation from an app on Jackās computer called
ļ¬ight simulator. We both decided that this would be a
programme too use because we good get the plane ļ¬ying in
mid air too make it look like we are going on holiday. We then
just cropped the clip too make it shorter and then rendered in
to the sequence.
This was one of our locations which we used for ļ¬lming.
We thought we would use this location because it is right
next to the college and it looks like a jungle/forest. At
ļ¬rst we had a few problems with ļ¬lming because the
location was right next too a main road. So we made sure
the camera always faced away from the road and also
muted the clip so you couldnāt hear any of the vehicles.
4. This was the font used throughout the sequence. We
thought it was relevant to the programme because it it
sort of has a trible effect which related too the whole
jungle and forest theme.
We added this effect to the keyframe because we tried
too pursue the eyes of a monster/strange creature. I
think this effect has worked well and would deļ¬nitely use
this ļ¬lter again.
5. For this keyframe we used a certain camera shot called
a ādolly shotā. A dolly shot is when the camera moves
forwards, but then at the same time you are moving
forward, you also zoom out, creating a weird effect
which looks really good.
This is another shot showing the location of where we did
some of the ļ¬lming. This keyframe is ļ¬lmed at Duxford Air
museum where we managed too get onto a plane a do some
ļ¬lming. The keyframe which you can see is Jack walking up
to the plane and about too walk on.
6. What you can see in the keyframe is a a shot of a camera recording out of the
window of an aeroplane. We thought this shot would be good as there is a process
of the plane taking off. Like Jack and I boarding the plane, The plane taking off,
The plane in mid ļ¬ight and the plane crashing.
8. 2) Construction process
Most enjoyable- I thought the most enjoyable part of the construction process
was going to Duxford air museum too ļ¬lm. I thought it was really satisfying because
we got to go onto a real plane for our ļ¬lming. We also got too learn a little bit of the
background of the aeroplane we went on as well. Another part of the process which I
thought was enjoyable was designing the title for the sequence. T make the title I
o
went into photoshop and typed the name and then got the eraser tool and faded the
bottom of the title making it look like a misty, cloudy effect. I thoroughly enjoyed
working with my partner Jack as we got a lot of the work done and had good time in
the process too.
9. Construction process.
Hardest aspect- The task which I found the hardest was the editing of the title
sequence. I found the task hard because I struggle with ļ¬nal cut a bit. But in the end I
got the hang of it and found it a lot easier than I did at the start of the task. I
thought that the task where we had to make a shot list. I found it hard because we
had too decide which scenes were going where and had to put them into there right
place.
10. Construction progress.
Problems- Some of the problems I had was ļ¬nding a non-copyright song to ļ¬t the
title sequence. We solved this problem by looking non stop too ļ¬nd a song on many
websites. For one of our locations there was a road right next too where we were
ļ¬lming which was a problem. We decided that we could ļ¬lm with the road behind us
and mute the clips so the audience didnāt know that there was a road there at all. I
though we both worked well in overcoming this problem. My partner and I had a lot
of trouble with the rendering. For some reason whenever we rendered one of the
videos, the other video didnāt render at all. We ended solving the problem by asking
one of media technicianās too help us out and he helped us sort out the problem.
11. Construction process.
Team working- I thought we worked very as a team. We both came up with ideas
and both co-operated very well together. I was in charge of the costume design and
the title and directing the title sequence, and Jack my partner was working on the
editing for the whole video and also location searching. We both went to Duxford
where Jack managed too get us into a plane too do some ļ¬lming which was great.
12. 3) Legal and ethical
consideration.
Our task was too ļ¬nd a copyright song which I could use for my sequence. Me and
my partner looked on many websites too ļ¬nd the right music. The website where I
found my song from was sound cloud, which is a copyright free website. I thought
the song worked really well with the sequence because it is an adventured theme and
our programme is sort of an adventure programme. When we ļ¬rst heard the song I
knew it would ļ¬t the sequence perfect. It has a tense vibe to the music which sets a
scary, and nerve racking.
13. 4) Skill development
I feel that I have learnt many new skills whilst doing this ļ¬lm project.
One of the skills I feel I have succeeded in is the editing in Final Cut. Here
is an example of an effect used in Final Cut. T make this effect all I did was
o
open up the clip in Final Cut and add a ļ¬lter effect to it. The shot is meant
too be from the eyes of a monster/creature which is attacking Jack.
At the the start of the project I wouldnāt of known how too make this
effect, but because of my partner Jack, I learnt how too apply this effect
to the clip.
Another skill which I feel Iāve picked up is too be more organised. Making sure everything is planned
out well and knowing what we are doing and how we are going to do it, making it a lot better and
easier too work with. Another skill which I feel Iāve picked up is too be more organised. Making sure

14. This is the ļ¬nished title for the sequence. The skills I feel I have learnt in the process
have been making the title look as if the bottom is some mist or there are clouds.
I also got too images of people standing with there backs towards the camera and
put the photoās into photoshop and edited the out so theyāre on a negative
background.I merged both the images together too make the 1 image. I then used the
magic wand tool to cut the outlines of the bodyās out so there was no background and
only the bodyās. Then by using the ļ¬ll tool, I ļ¬lled the image with a white colour base,
too make only the outline of the bodyās visible. At the start of creating the title we
started off with a pretty boring font and then slowly progressed too try and make
the title as best as we could. Overall I am pleased with the outcome of the title and
think it suits the sequence really well.
Another skill which I feel Iāve picked up is too be more organised. Making sure everything is
planned out well and knowing what we are doing and how we are going to do it, making it a
lot better and easier too work with.
15. 5) Quality of ļ¬nal
production
I personally think that my sequence is suitable for 12+ because there are some parts of the
programme thats may be scary or some mild language. Also if youāre young, you may not be able too
understand the story line. Thatās why I have have rated this programme 12+
Technical strengths
Dolly shot- A dolly shot is a certain camera shot. The dolly shot has been been used in many ļ¬lms
such as Jaws. There are a couple of ways how too do a dolly shot. how we did it was, by moving the
camera forward, you then zoom out of the camera creating a weird effect, making the personās head
get bigger, but the background stays the same.
Flight simulator.-My partner Jack has an app on his computer where you can ļ¬y planes, so we used
the idea of recording the aeroplane in the air ļ¬ying through a storm. We then put it into ļ¬nal cut and
trimmed the clip to make it a lot shorter and too ļ¬t the sequence well.
16. Quality of ļ¬nal production
Technical weeknesses
Camera angles- We had a bit of trouble ļ¬nding different angles too vary and make the
sequence more complicating.
Locations- Very many of the locations we wanted were near main roadās or near a hospital
so we had too do a lot of research into where we were ļ¬lming. In the end we went back too
the ļ¬rst location and worked around the problem.
