“ Taking the complexity out of rich and live SharePoint content” TUNNEL P INT
Introduction The fastest way to transform data from….. To SharePoint (list, site etc.) These services Did we mention without install needed?
Connect You define your SharePoint sites (BPOS, Office Live , hosted or corporate) You define the services you want and connect these to the SharePoint sites defined before A service can be linked to any list in the specified site (take for example Driving Directions for a contacts list)
Collect 2 3 1 Our very lightweight Data Broker engine goes out to the web services/APIs to get the needed data. The user fills in stock symbols in a SharePoint list. Based on a schedule, or on-demand, tunnelpoint gets the stock quote data through an API/web service Data flows back to the stock quote list by using the SharePoint web services (no server side modifications needed) And our product will get out to the web and update the correct fields.
Collaborate Because of the fact that most of the data is in a SharePoint list (standard facility of SharePoint to store data) users can do more with that data, like: Attach workflows and get notifications when certain information is updated Export data to Excel Use SharePoint designer to build a special DataView to connect to for example Stock quotes
Benefits For the end user Easy of use Advanced data/functionality without the need to call an expert to develop something He can still use the out of the box functionality like: email notifications, workflows etc. Freedom and flexibility to manage his own content User can use the interface he is used to
Benefits For the organization Development cost reduction No server side code management headaches Better informed workers More advanced data/services
Scenario A user sits at his desk and he needs to send 5 packages with DHL Just like any other morning he logs in on his SharePoint site to start his working day. Yesterday he configured TUNNELPOINT to streamline his package tracking inside SharePoint.
Scenario After preparing the packages for submittal he browses to his SharePoint package list. He adds a new item and types “Package to zevenseas” in the Title. He looks up the package number on the DHL slip and he types “132343904034034. Done and he clicks ok.
Scenario Copyright 2008 zevenseas B.V. Meanwhile at DHL… scanning and updating status…
Scenario The user asks himself what happened to my packages? As always he logs in to the SharePoint site where the package list resides.

What does your organization need to do? In essence, almost nothing. If your SharePoint environment is reachable by a public URL you can use our hosted version and you just need to create a special AD account to provide to users. People can use that account when they register sites in MySharepoint.
What did we do? We leverage what is already there, SharePoint web services and public API’s.
Architecture TUNNELPOINT on Windows 2008 RIF Remote Integration Framework TunnelPoint SP wrappers External wrappers Job scheduler Input/output conversion Queue service Job execute en/de crypt Storage Logging/audit Credential management Solution Store PIF PayPal Integration Framework Goal: Flexibility to develop 1-2 new services a day

TunnelPoint community The software can be a strong community building platform that enables partners to offer new solutions and information to customers.
