This document introduces TunnelPoint, a service that connects external data sources to SharePoint lists without requiring any server-side installation or custom code. It does this through a lightweight Data Broker engine that retrieves data from web services and APIs and populates it into SharePoint lists based on a schedule or on demand. This enriches SharePoint data and functionality without additional development costs or server management headaches.

Based on a schedule, or on-demand, tunnelpoint gets the stock quote data through an API/web service Data flows back to the stock quote list by using the SharePoint web services (no server side modifications needed) And our product will get out to the web and update the correct fields.

8. Scenario A user sits at his desk and he needs to send 5 packages with DHL Just like any other morning he logs in on his SharePoint site to start his working day. Yesterday he configured TUNNELPOINT to streamline his package tracking inside SharePoint.

9. Scenario After preparing the packages for submittal he browses to his SharePoint package list. He adds a new item and types “Package to zevenseas” in the Title. He looks up the package number on the DHL slip and he types “132343904034034. Done and he clicks ok.

13. What does your organization need to do? In essence, almost nothing. If your SharePoint environment is reachable by a public URL you can use our hosted version and you just need to create a special AD account to provide to users. People can use that account when they register sites in MySharepoint.
