Tropical savannahs experience very high temperatures between 20 to 30 degrees Celsius and receive rainfall between 200 to 1000 millimeters annually. They are found in central and southern Africa, Venezuela, Brazil, India, and Australia. Tropical savannahs are characterized by tall grass, scattered trees, and small shrubs that are adapted to dry conditions. Fires frequently occur during dry periods and can be caused by lightning.
