The document discusses spatial issues in modern houses due to decreasing size. It aims to reduce cleaning time and increase house capacity. The problem is defined as increasing capacity of dining, living, and bedroom areas. Tables, chairs and other furniture take up significant space. TRIZ tools are used to generate solutions, with the trimming process identifying that table and chair bases can be combined. A potential solution is proposed using inventive principles 7 and 1 to nest or segment furniture parts so areas have adjustable capacity while maintaining comfort.

Report on machinary of seprator use in flour and feearslankhan163
The document presents a project report on the development of a separator/classifier machine. Key points:
- The machine was designed to effectively separate grain mixtures using locally available materials.
- Testing showed the machine could achieve a recovery rate of 96% for grains retained on a 2.5mm sieve when operated at 715rpm.
- At 715rpm, the machine's recovery rates for different sieves were 100%, 81.71%, 78.45% and its capacity was 70kg/h.
- The results indicate the separation technique is viable for separating dry palm grains from other materials.
The document discusses two types of machines: a quicklime digester and an S-type powder separator. The quicklime digester digests quicklime into lime milk or powder through a double helix digestion process. It has high efficiency and is used in various industries. The S-type powder separator separates powder mixtures using a rotating cage and fan blades to separate particles into different grades with high accuracy. It has a circulating air system and can improve product quality. Technical specifications are provided for both machines.
The document describes a small-scale farm equipment designed to hull and clean buckwheat and spelt. It has a hopper that feeds the crop into rollers to break the hulls, then a blower separates the seeds and chaff into separate drawers. One motor powers both the hulling and cleaning sub-assemblies via pulleys. The document discusses potential failure modes like supports failing, vibrations damaging equipment, debris getting stuck in rollers, and addresses installing guards and dampers to address these issues.
The document discusses various types of facility layouts used in manufacturing and non-manufacturing settings. It describes McDonald's use of process layouts across its global supply chain, with centralized distribution centers and strict logistical controls to ensure consistent food quality and on-time deliveries. The document also covers other layout types like product layouts, group technology layouts, and fixed position layouts, comparing their characteristics and suitability for different production environments.

IRJET- A Proposed Design of Semi Automatic Cleaning System for High Power...IRJET Journal
This document describes a proposed design for a semi-automatic cleaning system for high power transmission line insulators. It begins with an introduction to insulators and why cleaning is important. It then discusses existing manual and automated cleaning methods and their limitations. The proposed design is then described in detail, including the main components of a base gripper, lead screw, washer base with microfiber rollers, and how it would function to clean cup and pin type insulators located less than 20 meters high in an efficient, cost-effective manner using dry cleaning. Calculations are provided to analyze the design and simulations were conducted to test load conditions. The conclusion is that the new system aims to prevent insulator failures caused by pollution in a safer
This presentation discusses dry granulation as an alternative to wet granulation for tablet manufacturing. Dry granulation involves compressing powders into dense sheets using mechanical pressure between counter-rotating rolls, then milling the sheets into uniform granules. Key advantages of dry granulation include avoiding heat, moisture, and additional ingredients used in wet granulation. The presentation traces the history and development of dry granulation techniques from early slugging methods to modern roller compaction. Factors in selecting between wet and dry granulation include material properties, stability requirements, process efficiency, and product specifications.

IRJET- Design and Fabrication of Cocoa Pod Splitting and Bean Extraction ...IRJET Journal
This document describes the design and fabrication of a cocoa pod splitting and bean extraction machine. It aims to simplify the process of removing beans from cocoa pods, which is currently done manually requiring significant human labor. The machine was designed to be operated manually, constructed from locally available materials to keep costs low, and easy to assemble/disassemble so it can be shared among farmers. Components of the machine like the frame, bearing, spring, and cutting/extracting tools are modeled. The working mechanism involves placing the cocoa pod in a holder, using the handle to cut open the pod with a knife, then pressing the handle to push a tool that extracts the beans. The design of a spring used in the machine is also detailed. The

The document describes the development of a potato harvesting machine by students at GCOERC in Nashik, India. It aims to reduce the human effort required for potato harvesting compared to manual methods. The machine was designed to separate and transport potatoes with minimum losses and damage within a specific time period. It includes components like a frame, hopper, wheels, shafts, gears and a conveyor system. The working involves a digging share that loosens the potatoes, which are then conveyed and separated from debris before collection. The students conclude that the machine can help reduce labor costs and time required for harvesting potatoes compared to current manual methods.
This document discusses various size separation techniques used in pharmaceutical manufacturing including sieving, cyclone separation, air separation, and bag filtration. It provides details on the objectives, principles, components, workings, uses, and standards for each technique. Size separation is used to separate mixtures of particles by size for applications like tablet/capsule production, process optimization, and ensuring flowability. Mechanical sieving uses a set of nested sieves of decreasing size which are agitated to separate particles. Cyclones and air separators use centrifugal forces from rotating air/fluid flows to separate particles by size and density. Bag filtration employs filter bags and pressure/suction to separate fines from coarser powders.
This document discusses feed manufacturing processes, with a focus on grinding methods. It describes the functions of hammer mills and roller mills. Hammer mills are the most common grinding device and use hammers on a rotor to reduce particle size through impact. Roller mills use compression and shearing forces between counter-rotating rolls. The document provides details on the components, operation, advantages, and disadvantages of each type of grinder to optimize particle size for animal feed applications.
The document summarizes the setup and processes of a packaged drinking water plant located in Jammu, India. The plant will undergo three phases of construction over 12 months, including site engineering, infrastructure acquisition, and full construction. The major processes at the plant will be water purification using reverse osmosis, jar washing and filling, and automatic glass filling and sealing. A well-designed layout is proposed to optimize the flow of materials and efficiency of operations between the various sections of water treatment, storage, filling, and quality testing labs.
The document discusses various methods for cleaning raw food materials, including dry and wet cleaning methods. Dry cleaning methods include screening, aspiration, and magnetic separation, which separate contaminants from raw materials based on physical properties like size, shape, density. Wet cleaning methods use water and may involve soaking, spraying, or flotation to remove dirt and are generally more effective but more expensive due to water use. The document also briefly discusses sorting and grading raw materials based on criteria like size, weight or quality.

4. In palm oil plantation, the fruits often dropped and
scattered on the floor when it is ripped.
Collecting scattered fruits on the floor will take a lot
of time since it is necessary to separate dirt, rocks
and leaves from the fruits before being collected.
Use of heavy machinery would be a problem since the
gap or space that allow it to move around is limited.
An existing portable fruit collector requires the fruits
to be compressed and pressed before entered into the
collection cavity.
This would actually damage the fruits quality.
INTRODUCTION
5. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Collecting using a flexible cage fruit
collector would need the fruits to be
pressed at a force before it will enter the
collection “cavity” and this force will
damage the fruits.

Avoid any unnecessary movement such

Avoid damaging the palm fruit which in

Basically function analysis is to analyse the interaction between two or more components. Before we go to any other analysis or problem solving, we have to construct a function model of the engineering system. This can be helping in concentrating the problem area to be solved.
