Dear Mr.
We had the opportunity to speak at the Deloitte information session held for the Association for Information Systems (AIS) at Temple University, and I would like to express my interest in becoming a Federal Business Technology Analyst Summer Scholar Intern. Based upon your intern selection criteria, my technological aptitude, my analytical thinking skills, and my leadership abilities make me a perfect fit for this opportunity and your company.
My technological aptitude can be measured through my knowledge of coding languages, my web development experience, and my knowledge of hardware and operating systems. I currently know three coding languages: HTML, C++, and C#, and I am in the process of learning PHP. I also have web-development experience from creating my current e-portfolio and coordinating with the former VP of IT in AIS to create the current AIS website. While at SAP, I learned about the hardware components of IBM, Sun, HP, and Dell servers, and utilized Linux, Unix, and Windows OS. My current technological skills fit well with the requirements of a BTA Summer Scholar Intern.
My analytical thinking skills were put to the test during a functional mailbox, group mailbox, improvement project when I was a business IS intern at Dow Chemical. I was assigned a project to provide recommendations for improvement on the functional mailbox provisioning process. In order to do this I completed in depth analysis of the current system by completing the creation process myself, checking for inconsistencies, and interviewing owners and user ...

Harnessing WebAssembly for Real-time Stateless Streaming PipelinesChristina Lin
Traditionally, dealing with real-time data pipelines has involved significant overhead, even for straightforward tasks like data transformation or masking. However, in this talk, we’ll venture into the dynamic realm of WebAssembly (WASM) and discover how it can revolutionize the creation of stateless streaming pipelines within a Kafka (Redpanda) broker. These pipelines are adept at managing low-latency, high-data-volume scenarios.

Online aptitude test management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
The purpose of on-line aptitude test system is to take online test in an efficient manner and no time wasting for checking the paper. The main objective of on-line aptitude test system is to efficiently evaluate the candidate thoroughly through a fully automated system that not only saves lot of time but also gives fast results. For students they give papers according to their convenience and time and there is no need of using extra thing like paper, pen etc. This can be used in educational institutions as well as in corporate world. Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web based application (user Location doesn’t matter). No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate takes the test.
Every time when lecturers/professors need to conduct examinations they have to sit down think about the questions and then create a whole new set of questions for each and every exam. In some cases the professor may want to give an open book online exam that is the student can take the exam any time anywhere, but the student might have to answer the questions in a limited time period. The professor may want to change the sequence of questions for every student. The problem that a student has is whenever a date for the exam is declared the student has to take it and there is no way he can take it at some other time. This project will create an interface for the examiner to create and store questions in a repository. It will also create an interface for the student to take examinations at his convenience and the questions and/or exams may be timed. Thereby creating an application which can be used by examiners and examinee’s simultaneously.
Examination System is very useful for Teachers/Professors. As in the teaching profession, you are responsible for writing question papers. In the conventional method, you write the question paper on paper, keep question papers separate from answers and all this information you have to keep in a locker to avoid unauthorized access. Using the Examination System you can create a question paper and everything will be written to a single exam file in encrypted format. You can set the General and Administrator password to avoid unauthorized access to your question paper. Every time you start the examination, the program shuffles all the questions and selects them randomly from the database, which reduces the chances of memorizing the questions.
Understanding Inductive Bias in Machine LearningSUTEJAS
This presentation explores the concept of inductive bias in machine learning. It explains how algorithms come with built-in assumptions and preferences that guide the learning process. You'll learn about the different types of inductive bias and how they can impact the performance and generalizability of machine learning models.
The presentation also covers the positive and negative aspects of inductive bias, along with strategies for mitigating potential drawbacks. We'll explore examples of how bias manifests in algorithms like neural networks and decision trees.
By understanding inductive bias, you can gain valuable insights into how machine learning models work and make informed decisions when building and deploying them.

2. To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter regarding my recommendation of Trevan Reese, who I oversaw as a
technical mentor during his 2020 internship with ExxonMobil. I have had the opportunity to
mentor and coach many others in similar positions over the course of my career and can
confidently say that Trevan is one of those few individuals that really stands out.
During out time together, Trevan displayed not only an already solid technical foundation,
but more importantly, the ability (and desire) to continuously learn and adapt to new
problems and ways of working. He consistently brought new ideas to the table and frequently
went above and beyond the baseline deliverables that had been laid out for him. And despite
working fully remote, his strong communication skills and ability to connect with others
really proved to be one of the most pivotal traits that contributed to his success during the
course of his internship and allowed him to be viewed as a standout leader within the group
of other interns. In my eyes, the ability to clearly explain technical concepts is equality
important as technically proficiency, and I am confident that Trevan is one of those people
that can successfully do both.
If more information or specific examples are needed, I can be reached at 713-447-7413 or by
email at tyler.tunstall@slalom.com.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to recommend Trevan Reese for the Cleared Software Engineer role at
Microsoft. I had the pleasure to work with Trevan during his summer internship in
2020, acting as his technical mentor and program architect under the Modern
Platform Identity Enablement team at ExxonMobil IT. I met regularly with Trevan for
weekly 1-on-1 mentoring sessions and we participated in daily team Agile/Scrum
meetings. Following is evidence to support my recommendation of Trevan for this
position.
During Trevan’s summer internship with ExxonMobil, he was assigned a fully-virtual
group project with two other interns. This was an unconventional format for our intern
program due to travel and workplace restrictions - normally interns would have
individual in-person assignments. Trevan did extremely well under these conditions
and was able to handle the adversity in a flexible and professional manner.
From a technical standpoint, Trevan is the full package: he is a passionate learner,
an empathic and patient teacher, and a great mentor to those around him. During
the internship, Trevan completed every task that we challenged him with (and then
some!). I had the opportunity to perform code reviews for Trevan and he had a great
attitude and collaborative mentality while reviewing comments.
Another characteristic that I observed is that Trevan works incredibly well in a team.
If his team ever encountered a new problem or a technology that they were
unfamiliar with, Trevan would always hop on the opportunity to learn it and share his
findings with his teammates. In multiple instances Trevan prioritized bringing his
team along and helping them learn how to complete tasks over completing them
himself solo. This shows an immense amount of maturity and leadership and it was
very impressive to see in action.
Perhaps one of Trevan’s strongest qualities is his confidence and composure while
presenting. During the summer he had the opportunity to present a number of
technical topics to a large group of people. He is an extremely natural speaker, his
thoughts and messages are well-assembled and he is engaging and very fun to
listen to! I received feedback from multiple individuals (including senior
management) that Trevan’s presentation and delivery style are top notch.
Overall, Trevan is an exemplary person who displays a wide capacity for dealing
with adversity, technical aptitude, teamwork, and public speaking. He displays
empathy with his team mates and is capable of leading in diverse situations. From a
program leadership standpoint, he was an absolute pleasure to work with and I am
4. very grateful that I had the opportunity to work with him. I hope that you will consider
Trevan for this role - you will not be disappointed!
Thank you for your consideration-
Patrick Schiess
