Treatment for Monday Morning Madness The story begins in an exam hall; students are arranged in rows taking an exam. The first character that appears on the screen is the teacher, Mr Bliss, standing over a student. The two main characters are then shown lying with their heads down on their exam desk, fast asleep. The girl, Charlotte Smith, is very intelligent whilst the boy, Joe Lump, not the brightest of the bunch. The dream begins with the main characters in the same exam hall at a desk, and then suddenly Mr Bliss comes up to the boy and shouts at him for being late, whilst the girl is staring at the boy, with her elbow on the table as if she was day dreaming at the boy. The girl then gets told off for staring at the boy and not concentrating.  The scene changes and the camera now show both the character’s bedrooms, revealing a complete contrast. Charlotte’s is very organised and neat whilst Joe’s is in an utter state, clothes and books all over the floor. They both sit down to study for the exam tomorrow morning. Charlotte scribbles down notes and reads text books whilst Joe is watching Television and flicking through the channels. As the evening draws to a close, charlotte packs her school bag whilst Joe is still watching telly. Charlotte sits in her bed and looks at her watch, counts down 3 seconds and goes to sleep exactly on the hour. In the latter part of the evening, Joe slumps on his bed, dog – tired.  The next morning the alarms go off in both rooms and they both wake up, to find out that they are late. Charlotte goes absolutely frantic running around because she is going to be late for the exam. Joe on the other hand is not as frantic because it’s just a routine for him to get up late. After the alarm wakes them up, they both begin to get ready for school. Everything that can go wrong when getting ready goes wrong for these two characters. For example, toilet paper gets stuck to their shoes, toothpaste goes everywhere, and they burn their toast. On the way to school Joe has a flat tyre, whilst Charlotte steps in dog mess, and their way to school gets progressively worse until they reach the exam hall – they are late. The dream ends and Mr Bliss shouts out orders to say that the exam has finished, having both fallen asleep neither had completed their papers. They are covered in drool and dribble and handed in, Mr Bliss is not impressed. END
