The document discusses why branding professionals struggle to get buy-in for rebranding projects from boards of directors. It argues that branding teams often fail to speak the "boardroom language" of facts, figures, and business impact. The author suggests branding professionals should focus presentations on research findings, the value of brands as intangible assets, and concrete implementation costs and scenarios rather than passion alone. Improving branding education to emphasize this boardroom perspective could increase understanding and support of branding initiatives at senior levels.

Teams That Flow ebook - Nokia #SmarterEverydayNokia
Flow is the psychological description of those really satisfying occasions
at work: you’re productive, engaged, confident and operating at your full potential. When a team is in flow, it’s innovative, harmonious and productive. Being part of it improves the performance of each member. Communication is purposeful and clear. Friction is seen as an opportunity, not a personal threat. Location and time zones pose no barriers. The balance is just right, and everything flows.
This book is a guide to building a team that flows. We’re going to begin with the theory, explaining the concepts and elements you need to create flow, before moving onto the practicalities of harnessing the power of collaboration,
working alongside technology, and leading a more productive working life within any team.
The MTL Professional Development Programme is a collection of 202 PowerPoint presentations that will provide you with step-by-step summaries of a key management or personal development skill. This presentation is on "Master Communicators" and will show you why leaders need to be masters of communication.

Growing Agility ebook - Nokia - #SmarterEverydayNokia
What is Growing Agility? Well, firstly it’s the latest ebook in the Smarter Everyday series, but beyond that, it’s a concept that we hope you’ll find useful in your working life.
As you’re bound to have experienced, you can’t predict and plan for every eventuality, and you can’t control the external factors that influence your business. What you do have control over is how you respond. That’s what growing agility is about: becoming more flexible in your behaviour, and developing the ability to dodge, jump, tackle or even pick yourself up after being hit by those curveballs that work can throw at you; whether it’s getting feedback that’s hard to swallow, losing out on a promotion, or a unsuccessful project.

Stop Talking About Innovation!
We need to limit the use of the word and the term “innovation” and we need to ban the term “innovation culture” entirely.
This is the radical outset for a keynote or a session in which Stefan Lindegaard challenges common beliefs on innovation, explain why most companies fail with their efforts to become more “innovative” and share insights on how to build the capabilities that can help companies and organizations survive and prosper in these times of fast change and strong disruption.
The key messages:
- Focus on corporate transformation and digitalization – or die!
- Link your efforts to the challenges of your stakeholders and increase your ROI
- Work with the unusual suspects; internally as well as externally
- Focus on people, people and people – and upgrade their mindset and skills
- Learn to communicate better and differently – or fail!
