1. Transformation of Sentence
There are different kinds of sentences to transfer from one to
another.
To transform sentences you may need to know the method, how
to transfer sentences from to another. There are several method to
transfer sentences.
Such as …………
Voice, Degree, Narration.
Sentences according to their meaning (assertive, imperative,
exclamatory and so on).
Sentences according to their structure (simple, complex and
compound)
2. Today we will discuss how to change sentences based on
their structure.
There are three kinds of sentences according to their
structure .
Such as
i.Simple
ii.Complex
iii.Compound
3. Simple Sentence
• Simple Sentence: One (subject + predicate)
Twenty Freeport citizens protested the ban against smoking.
The boys play football.
Because of his illness, he could attend the meeting.
4. Complex Sentence
• Complex Sentences:
• One complete sentence (also known as an independent or main
clause) + 1 subordinate (or dependent ) clause (missing either a
subject or a predicate; or introduced by a conjunctive adverb
— although, however, moreover, etc.)
Although 20 Freeport citizens protested the smoking ban, the
newspaper failed to cover the story.
Although he is rich, he is honest.
I know that he would help me.
5. Compound sentence
• Compound Sentence: Two complete sentences joined by
a comma + coordinate conjunction (and, or, nor, but, for, because,
etc.)
Twenty Freeport citizens protested the smoking ban, but the newspaper
failed to cover the story.
I went there and found him racing.
Read or you will fail.
He is rich but he is honest.
