This document discusses information and communication technologies (ICT) and their applications in education. ICT refers broadly to all communication technologies including the internet, wireless networks, phones, computers, software, media applications, and services. Examples of ICT applications in education include electronic textbooks, instructional software, email, chat, distance learning programs, video equipment, and office products. The main impacts of ICT in education are improving instructor capabilities, changing educational structures, creating opportunities for greater learning, enhancing educational quality, and improving teaching skills. Principles of using ICT in teaching include stimulating self-activity, creating interest and involvement, continuity of thought, teaching efficiently, providing useful variety, and promoting scientific temper and enhancing learning quality.
Recognizing that ICTs can, if applied and used appropriately, be development enablers is critical to countries that are moving towards information or knowledge-based societies, and is central to the IDI’s conceptual framework.
Comparative review on information and communication technology issues in educ...riyaniaes
The use of information and communication technology is very beneficial in the education sector because it can enhance the quality of education. However, the implementation of ICT in the education sector of developed and developing countries is a challenging task. This paper explains the comparative study of ICT issues in the education sector of developed and developing countries. In particular, we compare issues between Pakistan and high-tech countries. Our study reveals the fact that the education sector is facing numerous ICT problems that are based on culture, finance, management, infrastructure, lack of training, lack of equipment, teacher’s refusal, and ethical issues. At the end of this paper, various issues faced by the implementation of ICT in the education sector of Pakistan have been categorized into various types, namely, infrastructure, lack of IT professionals, lack of high-speed internet and equipment. Our research is based on five key research questions related to ICT issues. We used a mixed approach where the results of this study can be used as a set of guidelines to help make the learning environment technology-oriented, fast, planned, and productive. Future directions are also given at the end of this paper.

USE OF ICT TO ENHANCE THE LEARNING PROCESS IN HIGHER EDUCATIONijejournal
ICTs in Education refers to the development of information and communications technology specifically
for teaching/learning purposes, while the ICTs in education involves the adoption of general components
of information and communication technologies in the teaching learning process. The National Mission on
Education through Information and Communication Technology (NME-ICT), launched in 2009 by the
Central Government. Let’s see how Information and Communication Technology (ICT) evolved the Higher
Education system: The role of ICT in higher education, what students learn, The role of ICT in Higher
Education, how Students Learn, The role of ICT in Higher Education, when students learn, The role of ICT
in higher education, where students learn. Online courses, development of e-content, e-learning, digital
libraries, online encyclopaedias, journals, and books would promote learning and make knowledge
available to all irrespective of the distance or location or financial resources. Government intervention is
necessary so that ICT can be made successful in higher education. Information and Communications
Technology (ICT) has the proven power to change the world. This acronym refers to the merging of audiovisual and telephone networks with the computer single unified system of cabling.

Latent fingerprints lifted from crime scenes often contain overlapping prints, which are
difficult to separate and match by state-of-the-art fingerprint matchers. The methods that have been
proposed to separate overlapping fingerprints and successful matching previously suffer from limited
accuracy of the estimated orientation field. In this paper, the robustness of overlapping fingerprints
separation is increased, particularly for low quality images. This algorithm reconstructs the
orientation fields of component prints by modeling fingerprint orientation fields. To facilitate this,
orientation cues of component fingerprints are utilized, which are manually marked by fingerprint
examiners. The effectiveness of this model has been evaluated.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
