Homemade Tomato Sauce
     From the kitchen of Christina Lipari
Ingredients
2 16oz. cans of tomato puree

2 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil

1 medium onion (grated)

2 cloves of garlic (grated)

1 tbsp. of dried parsley

1 tsp. of red pepper flakes

2 basil leaves

1 1/2 cans of water

Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
First add in the extra virgin olive oil to a pot on medium heat.

Add in grated onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until
translucent.

Then add in garlic and red pepper, stir so it doesn’t burn.

When fragrant add in the two cans of tomato puree and then
1 1/2 cans of water.

Stir in parsley, basil and salt and pepper.

 Stir and leave until it starts to bubble.

 Once it bubbles turn down to medium-low and let sauce
 reduce down until thick and flavorful.

 When finished serve on favorite pasta or enjoy it anyway you
 enjoy.
